Vanaja has completed her doctorate in psychotherapy and has received advanced theoretical training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, developmental psychopathology, family and couples’ therapy, gestalt therapy and cognitive behavior therapy. She has been in private practice for the last 14 years.
She works with adults providing one to one counseling support inclusive of couples and family therapy. She is a visiting faculty for Christ University and NIPCCD (National Institute of Public Cooperation and Child Welfare) as a trainer and supervisor. She also does free lance training for NGO’s, educational and religious institutions. She conducts group therapy marathons for survivors of trauma, trainee counselors, educators and religious communities. She conducts brief workshops on Gestalt therapy, REBT, Transactional Analysis, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and Couples therapy.
She has been in ongoing supervision, personal therapy, training and consultation with other professionals in the field for her own professional and personal growth for the last 17 years. She has been a Yoga practitioner for the last 34 years.
